Kwara
Camp is situated in the Okavango Delta, bordering
the Moremi Game Reserve. Kwara is in the remote northern
part of the Okavango within the private Kwara concession.
Kwara has 8 safari-style tents built
on raised decks - overlooking a lagoon, within a grove
of huge and ancient African Ebony trees and accommodates
a maximum of 16 guests.
The tents are above the ground each
with a private balcony and outstanding views of the
plains of the Okavango Delta.
Each tent
has en-suite facilities which includes hot and cold
running showers, flush toilets and modern amenities.
The honeymoon suite boasts its own special bathroom
with an antique slipper bath.
There is a bar, small gift shop,
lounge, dining room and small plunge pool on camp. The
bar is an all-natural affair with a tree forming the
bar counter.
Three meals per day are served and
are inclusive of all alcoholic drinks, beverages and
soft drinks.
Kwara offers exclusive and private
traverse for all its varied safari activities, but
mostly focusing on the water.
The permanent waterways and lagoons
wind their way around the area and Kwara takes advantage
of this by offering adventurous double-deck boat trips
for cruising or fishing, and fabulous game drives and
walks.
The Kwara area is home to a huge
variety of wild animals including reedbuck, bushbuck,
hippo, crocodiles, elephant, buffalo, sable, roan,
zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, impala and tsessebe.
Lion, hyaena,
wild dog, leopard and cheetah are abundant in this
part of the Delta and regularly seen.
At
Kwara, you will discover why the Okavango is considered
one of the ecological wonders of Africa.
